Do adults in India need vaccines, or is it only a childhood thing?
Adults need them too, and this is one of the most under-discussed gaps in Indian health. The commonly recommended adult ones are an annual influenza shot, a tetanus booster roughly every ten years, hepatitis B if you were never vaccinated, and typhoid boosters depending on exposure. Pneumococcal and shingles vaccines become relevant after 60 or with chronic conditions like diabetes. HPV vaccination is now recommended well beyond the teenage years. Ask your physician to review your history once — most people discover at least one gap.

If you have diabetes, do ask specifically about the pneumococcal vaccine. It is not offered by default.
The tetanus one catches people out. Most of us assume the last shot was recent and it was actually fifteen years ago.
I found out at 34 that I had never completed my hepatitis B series. Nobody had ever asked.
