Four dengue cases in our village this month. The fogging van came once.

Two houses away, a 12 year old was admitted to Amritsar civil hospital last week with platelets very low. He is better now. But this is the fourth case in our village since September started and the last one was in a house three lanes from mine. The panchayat called the health department. One van came, fogged the main road, and left. The water tanks, the tyre pile behind the gurudwara, the fields with standing water after the rain, nothing. My wife is five months pregnant. I cannot wait for the department. What can a village do on its own that actually works? People who have dealt with this in rural areas, please share.
