How do you deal with anxiety that shows up as physical symptoms?
Anxiety commonly presents physically — chest tightness, palpitations, breathlessness, stomach upset, headaches, dizziness — and in India these are often the symptoms people actually present with. Two things matter simultaneously. First, get physical causes properly excluded once, because dismissing chest pain as anxiety without assessment is unsafe. Second, once that is done, resist repeated testing, which feeds the cycle. Understanding the mechanism helps: these are real physiological effects of the stress response, not imagined, and treating the anxiety usually resolves them more effectively than treating each symptom separately.

Getting it excluded once and then stopping is the balance. I did neither for a long time.
Real physiological effects rather than imagined is important. Being told 'it is just anxiety' helped nobody.
