How do you keep track of childhood vaccinations in India?
Keep the physical card, photograph every page after each visit, and store it somewhere you will find it in five years — school admissions, travel and any hospital visit will ask for it. India's Universal Immunisation Programme covers the core schedule free at government facilities, while the IAP schedule includes additional optional vaccines that private paediatricians typically offer. If you have moved cities or lost the card, your paediatrician can usually reconstruct from records or advise on catch-up, and catch-up schedules exist for almost every vaccine. Missing a date is not the same as missing the vaccine.

Knowing catch-up schedules exist would have saved me a lot of guilt after we missed one during a move.
Photographing every page is the advice I give every new parent now. Cards get lost constantly.
