How do you measure progress if the weighing scale is not moving?
The scale measures one thing badly, since it fluctuates with water, salt, glycogen and digestion by two or three kilos within a week. Better markers: how clothes fit, waist circumference measured the same way each time, photographs every four weeks in the same light, and performance numbers from your training log. Strength going up while weight stays flat usually means body composition is changing, which is the actual goal. If you do weigh yourself, weigh daily and look at the weekly average rather than reacting to single readings.

Waist measurement told a completely different story from the scale over three months.
