What actually helps prevent mosquito breeding around the house during monsoon?

The single highest-yield habit is a weekly dry day. Aedes mosquitoes breed in clean standing water, not drains, so the culprits are usually the things nobody thinks of: cooler trays, plant saucers, terrace buckets, discarded tyres, fridge drip pans and the water left in a bucket 'just in case'. Empty and scrub them once a week rather than just tipping them out, because eggs stick to the sides. Mesh on windows and repellent at dawn and dusk cover the rest, since Aedes bites during the day.

Scrubbing the sides is the part everyone skips. Our society started doing a proper Sunday dry day and cases dropped noticeably.

The fridge drip tray genuinely surprised me. Ours had larvae in it and nobody had looked there in months.
